The Council of Christians and Jews is outraged by the despicable acts of vandalism committed at the Jewish cemetery in Whitefield, North Manchester. Greater Manchester Police have stated that they are treating this incident as a ‘hate crime’ and we hope that those responsible are swiftly brought to justice. We are proud of the strong ties of friendship between the Jewish and Christian communities in Greater Manchester and we hope that these positive relationships can be a symbol for the whole community to challenge antisemitism and remain united against any act of hate.
