The Council of Christians and Jews welcomes the positive action taken by University College London to address prejudice on campus, including the adoption of the full IHRA definition of antisemitism. This stand against antisemitism and racism comes after years of campaigning by Jewish students.

At CCJ we believe Jewish students should have the right to determine what counts as prejudice against them. We are proud of our Student Leaders across the UK who are campaigning for their own universities to formally adopt this comprehensive definition.

We encourage all universities, including the University of Bristol, to follow the example of UCL in listening to their Jewish students and adopting the full IHRA definition of antisemitism.
