The Council of Christians and Jews unequivocally condemns the offensive and dangerous tweets from Wiley on Twitter. Since CCJ was founded in 1942 it has been part of our core mission to speak out and fight against antisemitism. As Christians and Jews we now call on Twitter to act swiftly to block antisemitism and all forms of racial hatred. Wiley’s recent tweets have included incitement to violence against Jews and have attracted streams of posts welcoming overt
hatred and denying the Holocaust. For the good of all in our society, Twitter and all social media need to react far more quickly to stop the propagation of this kind of hatred in our public spaces. For this reason, CCJ is joining the 48-hour walkout of Twitter, from 9 a.m. on Monday 27 July. Please join us to take your stand against hatred and antisemitism.
