CCJ condemns the violent and islamophobic attack against Muslim worshippers at the Finsbury Park Welfare House as they left following prayers. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families of victims of the attack. As people of faith we offer our support and solidarity to the Muslim community and stand to defend their right to practice their religion. This terror attack is in sharp contrast to the many events throughout the UK over the past days that clearly demonstrated how communities can celebrate difference together while sharing their common humanity. As Christians and Jews together we reaffirm our commitment to working with people of all faiths and none to build a stronger society through education, dialogue and social action.
