CCJ North London

CCJ North London covers the London Boroughs of Hackney and Haringey. Ours is an unusual area in that it has a large and growing Jewish population particularly amongst the ultra-Orthodox community. There are real challenges inviting our friends to CCJ activities, but we are fortunate to have active participation and support from a number of local Christian clergy, lay Church people and others.

A main activity for us has been introducing the Christians communities to Jews and Judaism.

Our annual activities usually include attending Holocaust Memorial Day events in both boroughs, a demonstration Seder primarily to explain the event to our Christian members and friends, a speaker at our AGM in early autumn and a joint Advent/Chanukah event and social.
