Chairman's Study Tour
This is an annual event run by CCJ in cooperation with its partners.
The CCJ Chairman’s Study Tour of Israel is a response to the complexities of the Israel/Palestine conflict. The intensive 7-day Study Tour is intended to help Church leaders and Church opinion formers view the situation through direct interface with all sides in the conflict. The opinions and views that the delegates come across will be varied and surprising, shocking and enlightening, some will generate hope, some may lead to despair. The delegates travel the whole length of Israel and experience the crossings. They meet ordinary people, faith leaders, politicians, Christians and Jews and Muslims, Palestinians and Israelis.
The delegates are encouraged to meet two to three months after the Study Tour to share together their thinking, reflection and even their struggles with the realities of what they have seen and experienced. They are encouraged to write, speak and include these reflections in their preaching.
