20 Christian Ministers to study at Yad Vashem

Organised in partnership with the Yad Vashem Institute Jerusalem, the Council of Christians and Jews this week will lead 20 Christian Clergy, male and female, at an intensive 10 day study course on the Holocaust and the historical events preceding it. The group will be led by the Revd David Gifford, Chief Executive Officer of CCJ, and Dr. Lionel Kopelowitz a CCJ Vice President and Fiona Hulbert, CCJ Project Manager.

Dr. Lionel Kopelowitz said:

“It is of extreme importance that the events of the Holocaust which took place 70 years ago should not be forgotten and that this and future generations should continually be made aware of this most tragic episode, resulting in the death of 6 million Jews. The world must ensure that such tragedies do not happen again, and the Church can play a key role in spreading the message.”
